The striking black-and-white fine art photographs captivate the viewer with their bold, dramatic contrasts and stark, minimalist compositions that masterfully capture the essence of the modern era.

Silence

I create photographs to induce a meditative state. Most of my images avoid the bustle of everyday life, transforming the noisy into the peaceful.

Growing up in Thailand, Buddhism has been a part of my religious practice. Meditation is a central component of Buddhist teachings. As a child, I recall attending Buddhist classes where we frequently meditated. To achieve a meditative state, one must focus the mind intently. One way to do this is by closing your eyes and visualizing the flickering of candlelight, the sound of ocean waves, or the rustling of trees – recalling a tranquil setting. These imagined scenes become the gateway to a meditative state. If you concentrate deeply, you can feel the stillness and inner peace.

I photograph ordinary scenes, objects, and places that often go unnoticed. Nature and man-made elements are juxtaposed in a way that generates a sense of silence. The stark simplicity, use of deep blacks and bright whites, and rich tones create a calming, peaceful, and quiet atmosphere. This allows the viewer to freely evoke their own imagination and use the photograph as a path to a meditative state.
